Grant County Health Department Offering H1N1 Mist to TU Students

The Grant County Health Department will be offering the H1N1 flu mist to the Taylor students on Wednesday November the 4th from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Taylor Health Center. Only H1N1 flu mist will be available at this time. They will not be bringing any H1N1 injections at this time. They will bring the H1N1 injections at a later date when they receive more vaccine.

Flu mist is safe for people 2 to 49 years of age who are not pregnant or do not have a chronic illness. If you have received the seasonal flu mist in the last 30 days you should wait until 30 days to receive the H1N1 flu mist. If you have received the seasonal flu shot it is ok to receive the H1N1 flu mist.

The flu mist is a live vaccine that is safe for people who qualify for it. After receiving the flu mist your body will start producing protection against the H1N1 virus.
