The mission of the Taylor University Women's Cross Country team is to honor God by striving for our personal best physically, spiritually and intellectually and to encourage each other in that pursuit. Through discipline and adversity we become women of Christ's character; women of excellence.

Senior Alyssa Johnson and sophomore Ashley Henry earned All-MCC honors and led the Lady Trojans to a fourth place finish at the 2009 MCC Cross Country Championship meet contested on the campus of IPFW.
The Lady Trojan cross country team placed 7th at the 19 team Great Lakes Challenge contested on Saturday morning in Grand Rapids, Michigan. TU was led by senior Alyssa Johnson who finished 6th in the field of 225 runners as she covered the 5000 meter distance with a time of 18:49.
The Lady Trojan cross country team placed third at the six-team Bethel Invitational on Saturday morning. TU was led by senior Alyssa Johnson who finished 1st for the second consecutive week as she covered the 5000 meter distance with a personal best time of 18:34.
Senior Alyssa Johnson won the individual title at the IWU Wildcat Invitational to lead the Lady Trojans to a second place finish.
The Taylor women's cross country team finished third Friday in the 14-team Little State race at the 2009 Indiana Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships hosted by Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind.
