"How can we understand the road we travel? It is the Lord who directs our steps." Proverbs 20:24
Traveling the world is an incredible opportunity. It enables you to observe life and see the world from a unique perspective. Everything from the sights you see to the foods you taste enriches your experience.
There are over 120 students at Taylor who share the experience of spending a significant amount of their lives in a host culture other than the home culture of their parents. All have traveled a unique road. Some have served in missions; some have traveled the globe with the military. Many others have crossed cultural boundaries for business or governmental purposes. Together they represent over 60 countries!
Taylor supports this group of students with an active chapter of Mu Kappa, a student organization dedicated to serving some of the practical, spiritual and social needs of missionary kids and other third-culture kids. An exciting international orientation is held each August to assist the freshmen as they transition to university life in the United States. This orientation is not only for those who are just coming to this country but also for those who may have been here for a while.
